Tottenham Hotspur recorded an impressive 3-2 victory against Everton this weekend courtesy of two goals from Harry Kane and one from Dele Alli.

The former is in blistering form since the turn of the year and he looked on course for yet another hat-trick.

That was not to be, but despite late goals from Romelu Lukaku and Enner Valencia, Spurs held firm to take all three points and put the pressure on league leaders Chelsea as we approach the business end of the season.

After the match some of Tottenham’s players took to social media to celebrate their win, including Victor Wanyama, who thanked the fans for their amazing support, Kyle Walker, the imperious Jan Vertonghen and Kane himself.

Next up for Tottenham is a FA Cup quarter-final match against Fulham and in this kind of form there is no reason Spurs cannot end the campaign with some silverware in the cabinet.

That would be a huge boost for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is quietly going about building a squad capable of challenging at the top of the table.
