The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga has posted for the first time on Twitter since he was reportedly denied a move to Everton.

Gazzaniga has yet yet to make a single one of Tottenham’s matchday squads this season, despite impressing as a stand-in to Hugo Lloris for a large part of last season.

And he is said to have been the subject of deadline day interest from Everton, as well as their city rivals, Liverpool.

According to The Telegraph, Everton followed that up with a loan approach for the Argentine.

But it is claimed that Spurs would only consider a sale to the Toffees, whom they consider a rival for Champions League qualification.

And Everton later signed the Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen on a season-long loan.

What Gazzaniga made of all that remains unclear, although the 28-year-old does not appear to have lost his focus.

Gazzaniga was brought to Tottenham by Jose Mourinho’s predecessor Mauricio Pochettino three years ago, and has another two left on his deal in north London.
