Michel Vorm: Was left exposed by his defence for the goal and had little else to do all game. 5/10

Kieran Trippier: Failed to offer much going forward but was tidy in possession and handled his defensive duties well. 5/10

Anton Walkes: Looked confident in defending one-on-ones and was strong on the ball. 6/10

Cameron Carter-Vickers: Continues to impress and has made a strong claim to be Spurs’ fourth choice centre-back. 7/10

DeAndre Yedlin: Did well out of position at left-back. Will challenge Trippier this season. 6/10

Harry Winks: Built on a strong display on Tuesday with another good outing. Arguably should be ahead of Mason and Carroll in the pecking order now. 7/10 MOTM

Victor Wanyama: Impressed again in the heart of midfield. Will provide Eric Dier with real competition this season. 7/10

Erik Lamela: Looked dangerous once again and was unlucky not to grab another goal when he struck the post in the first half. 7/10

Christian Eriksen: The Dane looked a bit rusty on his return to the team but showed glimpses of the quality he possesses. 6/10

Josh Onomah: Struggled to get in the game. His future may lie in a deeper midfield role. 4/10

Vincent Janssen: A much improved display from the summer signing. Provided excellent link-up play and came close with a free-kick in the second half. 7/10

Ryan Mason: Fared better than he did against Juventus and was unlucky not to score with a well hit half volley. 6/10

Nacer Chadli: Worked hard but showed little to suggest he will play a key role this season. 4/10

Kyle Walker-Peters: Looked nervous initially but gradually grew into his role. 5/10

Will Miller: Deployed again in an unfamiliar left-back role. Coped well. 5/10

Dominic Ball: Played in defensive midfield and looks unlikely to feature this season. 4/10
