According to Mundo Deportivo, Bryan Gil is desperate to leave Tottenham Hotspur, but there’s reason to believe that these reports are wide of the mark.

Indeed, while it’s rare to see a player actively interact with transfer rumours regarding their future, Gil has addressed this report on social media, and he’s seemingly bemused by it.

The Spanish winger posted a tweet replying to the Spanish outlet’s report, and it seems as though he’s rather confused by where they’ve gotten their information from.

We’re sure that Mundo Deportivo would have heard this from a source they believed was reliable, but it seems as though they may have been misled on this occasion.

Gil has only been at Spurs for six months, and it seems as though he plans on staying for a little while longer.

The fact that the winger has simply laughed off these rumours suggests that he’s more than happy with life in north London and that he won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

At the age of just 20, the former Sevilla man still has a lot of room to improve and develop, and it would be somewhat ridiculous of he were to leave Spurs just a few months after Tottenham forked out a large fee to land the youngster.

Luckily, it seems as though he’s not planning an imminent departure and we can only hope that we get to see more of him under Antonio Conte in the coming months.
