Heung-Min Son admits he was left angry after his performance in Tottenham Hotspur’s first pre-season friendly, as per his comments to the club’s official website.
Son scored twice for Tottenham and looked in red-hot form, as Jose Mourinho’s side kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 3-0 victory.
Son’s second goal of the game was particularly impressive, as he chipped the goalkeeper.
But, in quotes published by Tottenham’s website yesterday, the South Korean actually suggested that he wasn’t best pleased with his performance, as he thought he should have scored more goals.
“I’m a bit angry because I missed another couple of chances,” Son said.
“This is what I have to look for this season, to be sharp and to be better than last season.

“I’ve had 10 years of pre-season in Europe now and it’s always so good to score goals, especially in the first game, you want to start with confidence.”
Son will be a player who Mourinho is relying on this season, although his form after the Premier League restart actually wasn’t particularly impressive.
Son returned from injury last term and played regularly, but he, perhaps, wasn’t quite at his best towards the end of the season.
That being said that hard-working forward remains one of Tottenham’s finest players and he will surely be in Mourinho’s starting line-up come opening day.
Spurs kick their season off with a game against Everton on September 12th.
