Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing Lewis Cook.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook.

The Express report Spurs are keen on a £30 million move for Cook… a high fee which could turn out to be tremendous bargain.

Cook has already represented England at senior level, and captained his country to the England under-20 World Cup, playing alongside Spurs talents Kyle Walker-Peters and Josh Onomah.

For Tottenham’s first team, he would get the chance to solidify his England credentials, forging a partnership with Harry Winks in the centre of midfield, and linking up with attackers Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

Cook has been tipped for the very top for years, since he established himself as a regular for Leeds in the Championship at just 17-years-old.

Investing in Cook for £30 million is about a ‘sure thing’ as Spurs could get when buying a 21-year-old.

He is more accomplished than Jack Grealish, Tottenham’s ‘other’ target at Aston Villa, and a better fit for Tottenham’s current needs, with the defensive part of his game better than the Championship man.

At Tottenham, Cook’s value would double within a year to £60 million with a successful debut season, and he would quickly become one of the team’s untouchables, along with Harry Kane and Dele Alli, players who the club refuse to sell and lock into long-term contracts.

It would be a smart move for Spurs to pay up for Cook and strengthen the spine of their team, especially with Mousa Dembele having just one year left on his current contract.

Cook would thrive at Tottenham, and the team will benefit from adding him. At £30 million it would be a no-brainer for the Lilywhites.
