Tottenham want Pervis Estupinan and are pushing to sign the Villarreal left back in a deal that could involve Giovani Lo Celso.
Tottenham may have already signed Ivan Perisic but that doesn’t meant that their recruitment on the left side is over.
Rumours have suggested that Tottenham may still look to add a natural left wing back given that Perisic can also play further forward.
Owen Wijndal is one name in the mix but Tottenham may also look to the Spanish market for a signing.
Tottenham want Pervis Estupinan
Spanish newspaper Marca report that Tottenham are making a real push to sign Villarreal left back Pervis Estupinan.
It’s claimed that contact has been made with Estupinan’s agent and Tottenham are keen to strike a deal.
That links to Wijndal and Estupinan are emerging over the same weekend does smack of Fabio Paratici.
Tottenham’s director of football loves to have multiple targets in the same position on the go at once.
Paratici may try to tee up deals for both Wijndal and Estupinan before eventually settling on one or the other.
Estupinan, 24, was on the books at Watford before being sold by the Hornets in 2020.
Villarreal pounced to sign Estupinan after an impressive loan spell at Osasuna and the Ecuador international has been a regular for them ever since.

The problem is that Alfonso Pedraza has been eating into Estupinan’s minutes and Alberto Moreno returns from injury this summer.
That means Villarreal may sell Estupinan to raise funds and Tottenham are keen – but could engineer a swap deal.
It’s noted that Giovani Lo Celso could be sent to Villarreal permanently in exchange for Estupinan.
Lo Celso spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal and impressed so much that they want him permanently.
With Villarreal open to selling Estupinan and Tottenham keen to offload Lo Celso, that swap deal may make sense for all parties.
