Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele – but he instead looks set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s according to Football London, who claim that Dembele has been put forward to Tottenham ahead of the transfer deadline.
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season and Barcelona simply want rid of the winger.
From signing for £135million in 2017 to leaving for next to nothing now, Dembele’s time at Barcelona has been a huge disappointment.
Branded a ‘phenomenon’ by Lionel Messi, Dembele was supposed to become a star after joining Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund.
Injuries and contract uncertainty have now resulted in Dembele being on offer, but a move to Tottenham now seems unlikely.
That’s because Foot Mercato claim that Paris Saint-Germain have an agreement to sign Dembele and are now looking to force through a move before the deadline.
It was always expected that Tottenham would struggle to sign Dembele, but their hopes now appear to be over already.
One interesting note in that Football London report though is that Fabio Paratici is chasing two more signings before the deadline.

Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur will be joining Tottenham in the next 24 hours, but Paratici isn’t done there.
Paratici also wants another right wing back brought in having missed out on Adama Traore and is still keen to add another striker too.
This has been a frustrating window for Tottenham, but Kulusevski and Bentancur would at least bolster Antonio Conte’s side.
If Paratici can add another right wing back and striker on deadline day, he could just save what has been a disappointing month so far.
