According to The Mirror, Nuno is the one who wants to bring Benfica striker Haris Seferovic to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Fabio Paratici may be in charge of Tottenham’s transfer business following his appointment as the club’s director of football, but new boss Nuno will still have a huge say on recruitment.
He is understood to want a new striker this summer and has identified Seferovic as the man he wants to sign.
Benfica are allegedly willing to sell Seferovic this summer despite being under contract until 2024, and his price tag is very interesting.
The 29-year-old allegedly has a £50million release clause in his Benfica deal, but is expected to be sold for around half his asking price – around £20million to £25million.
Seferovic scored 26 goals for Benfica last season and had a strong Euro 2020 campaign too, scoring three goals in five outings, including a brace against France.

Big, strong and hard-working, Seferovic isn’t the flashiest striker of all time and has no real resale value at this stage in his career, so splashing north of £20million is something of a gamble.
Tottenham do need a striker though, and having previously played in Italy with Fiorentina, Novara and Lecce, Paratici will be very familiar with Seferovic.
