Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Stuttgart centre-back.

According to a report from the Mirror, Tottenham will face competition from Napoli in the race to sign Stuttgart ace Benjamin Pavard this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to bolster his defensive ranks this summer, with Toby Alderweireld facing an uncertain future at Spurs.

Pavard would be a typical Poch signing, considering the fact that he is young and has plenty of potential, and he could be the ideal addition to Tottenham’s squad.

Standing at 6ft 1in tall, the Frenchman is strong in the air, but he is also quick along the ground. He is very composed with the ball at his feet and possesses impressive ball dispersion skills.
The Mirror claim that Tottenham will not have things all their own way in the race to sign Pavard, however, with Napoli now interested in bringing the defender to Italy.

The Sun reported earlier this year that Spurs were lining up an £11 million bid for the 22-year-old, but according to Stuttgart sporting director Michael Reschke, the Bundesliga outfit will not sell him for a penny less than £44.2 million.
So Spurs now face two problems in the race for Pavard – Napoli’s interest and Stuttgart’s incredibly high demands for the player.
Much will depend on what happens with Alderweireld of course, but if Poch truly wants to bring the French youngster to north London this summer, he will really have his work cut-out.
