Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are now joining Arsenal and Newcastle United in the race for Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves.
Al Hilal ace Ruben Neves is thought to be a target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer window.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Tottenham are keen to land a new midfielder in January.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg still looks likely to leave Tottenham in 2024 despite being chosen to fill in for James Maddison against Wolves on Saturday.
Fulham are understood to be keen on Hojbjerg and the Dane’s exit could facilitate the arrival of a new midfielder for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Tottenham Hotspur keen on Ruben Neves
TEAMtalk now claim that Tottenham have Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves on their wish list for a January move.
Arsenal and Newcastle United are both keen on Neves and Tottenham are now in the mix too.
Neves made a surprise Premier League exit in June as he left Wolverhampton Wanderers in a £47million switch to Al Hilal.
The 26-year-old had impressed in the Premier League but decided to make a shock move to Saudi Arabia instead.
Neves is already wanted back in the Premier League though and Tottenham could offer him a move to North London.

Newcastle United owners will become key characters in Neves chase
Neves has become a hot topic of late because Newcastle want him on loan as a replacement for the suspended Sandro Tonali.
Premier League clubs aren’t happy though as Magpies owners PIF also own Al Hilal alongside a host of other Saudi clubs.
Clubs will now vote on whether to ban incoming loan deals between partner clubs, meaning Newcastle could be prevented from signing Neves.
The Portuguese midfielder – hailed as an ‘outstanding footballer’ by pundit Clinton Morrison – may fancy moving to another Premier League club, but would PIF sanction that?
Arsenal and Tottenham will be in contention for Champions League places, just like Newcastle, and strengthening a rival would be a surprise, especially when they may vote against Newcastle.
Tottenham may see Neves as competition for Yves Bissouma in holding midfield but this seems like a potentially tricky deal.
