Tottenham Hotspur want Gift Orban and could move for the Gent wonderkid if Harry Kane joins Bayern Munich.

Gift Orban has landed on Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer radar as they consider potential replacements for Harry Kane.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who suggest that Tottenham have started identifying attacking transfer targets.

Bayern Munich continue to chase a deal for Kane and their pursuit looks set to be one of the big stories of the transfer window’s final month.

Tottenham don’t really want to sell Kane but do now need to have potential replacements in mind in case Bayern make an offer they can’t refuse.

Nigerian sensation Orban is now believed to be under consideration by Tottenham as a potential Kane successor.

Throwing Orban into immediately replacing Kane would be incredibly bold, and it seems more likely that Richarlison would take the leading role with Orban developing over the coming years.

Orban represents a very interesting option for Tottenham though having become a sensation in recent times.

Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Gift Orban?

Orban emerged in his native Nigeria with Bison FC, before heading to Norway to train with Stabaek.

The Norwegian club decided to sign Orban permanently and the move was a complete masterstroke.

19 goals in 24 games saw Orban earn a reputation as a wonderkid before joining Belgian side Gent in January.

A period of transition may have been expected as he made a leap forward in his career, but Orban was sensational.

Orban smashed a hat-trick against Istanbul Basaksehir inside just four minutes, breaking the record for the fastest hat-trick in UEFA club competitions.

The 21-year-old ended the campaign with 20 goals in 22 appearances for Gent, and he already has two goals in two games this season.

Hailed as an ‘incredible’ attacking weapon by Gent boss Hein Vanhaezebrouck, Orban is being backed for a huge future.

We have seen Victor Osimhen become a superstar having shown potential in Belgium.

Orban could follow in his footsteps and Tottenham may now fancy signing him with Nigerian compatriot Osimhen out of reach.
