Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will be leaving if he doesn’t drop his wage demands, amid interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

That’s according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, who claim that talks over a new deal aren’t going all that well between Inter and Brozovic.

Brozovic is out of contract at the end of the season and could leave the San Siro for absolutely nothing.

Inter are believed to be upping their offer incrementally, starting out at €4million-a-year and now rising to €6million-a-year – around £96,000-a-week.

The problem for Inter is that Brozovic now wants a four-year deal worth €30million – which is around £120,000-a-week.

That’s a huge gap to be bridged, and it’s suggested that unless Brozovic brings down those demands, he will be leaving Inter.

That could be great news for both Newcastle and Tottenham, who have been heavily linked with signing Brozovic.

TMW’s report claims that Tottenham are battling Paris Saint-Germain whilst The Times note that Brozovic is one of Newcastle’s top January targets.

Brozovic is a relentless midfielder who controls the game brilliantly from a deep position, and he would be a bargain for any side on a free transfer – especially two clubs not in the Champions League like Tottenham and Newcastle.
