Vincent Janssen has outlined his commitment to working hard for Spurs, in an interview with the club’s official website.

Mauricio Pochettino’s system requires hard running from all ten outfield players and Janssen has quickly proven he is up to the task.

His tireless running created havoc for the Everton and Crystal Palace defences in his first two appearances and the Dutchman has vowed to continue this approach.

“I like to work because it’s one of my powers,” said Janssen.

“It helps me into the game and I think if you can do the run you have to do it. So that’s what I did the whole game (against Palace).

“The crowd was amazing the whole game. From the beginning they were supporting us and that helps us a lot,” he added.

The former AZ Alkmaar striker has quickly become a hit with the Spurs supporters and his early form has given Pochettino something of a selection dilemma.

Janssen led the line against the Eagles last weekend, with Harry Kane deployed in the number ten role, but with Dele Alli now recovered from a slight illness, it will be intriguing to see how the Lilywhites line up against Liverpool.

The Reds arrive at White Hart Lane for tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off and will be eager to put last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Burnley behind them.

Liverpool have got the better of Spurs in recent years, with the Lilywhites last victory coming in November 2012, and Pochettino’s men will need to be at their very best to claim all three points.
