Tottenham have been accused of lacking leaders.

Tottenham Hotspur need more leaders in their team says former star Jermaine Jenas.
Jenas told The Mail that he is concerned by Tottenham’s inability to close out games, citing the way they let leads slip against Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven.
Jenas even went back to last season’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United, pointing out how they let the Red Devils come from behind to win 2-1.
He said that the team need players like John Terry, if they are to go to the next level.
Citing five other top stars past and present, Jenas said: “I think they’re lacking generals, the likes of John Terry and Frank Lampard when at Chelsea or Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand in Manchester United’s great era or Fernandinho and David Silva at Manchester City now. Experienced players whose mentality won’t waver under pressure.
“Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld have to step up and be those players. This team reminds me of Arsenal in 2008 with Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri. They were lovely to watch with a soft centre. I actually think this Tottenham team are better than that, though. They have a more solid base. They need to start showing it.”

Spurs can prove a point this evening when they face Manchester City at Wembley.
If Mauricio Pochettino’s side are to be taken seriously as title contenders then winning this game will go a long way to proving a point.
Spurs are currently just two points behind Pep Guardiola’s team and can leapfrog them into third place with a victory, and blow the title race wide open.
