Tottenham Hotspur want Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a major overhaul this summer, and their two right-backs could be sold, the Evening Standard reports.

This helps explain reports in The Sun that Spurs are ‘extremely interested’ in a deal for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is valued at £40 million.

Spurs aren’t the only side interested, with Manchester United claimed to be very keen in the defender.

This is why Tottenham must try to gain an edge by throwing Serge Aurier into a potential player plus cash swap deal.

Aurier has failed to beat out Kieran Trippier as first choice since signing from PSG in 2017.

Despite that, he is an accomplished international defender who has won titles in France.

He would be an attractive proposition for Palace. At 26 he is far from over the hill and instead is approaching the peak of his career.

Aurier’s attacking style should appeal to Palace fans, and he would be as good a replacement for Wan-Bissaka as they could expect to find.

With Wan-Bissaka’s departure looking inevitable, Tottenham need to take advantage of the edge they have to pull off a deal.
