Former Tottenham target Javier Hernandez is set to be made available.
Tottenham Hotspur should be on red alert amid reports in The Guardian that Bayer Leverkusen are preparing to sell striker Javier Hernandez in the summer.
Hernandez is a long term target for Spurs, with the London Evening Standard reporting he was a priority target in the summer of 2015.
Signing him from Manchester United proved difficult, but their interest is said to remain, with The Mirror reporting in December that they are still keen.

Hernandez has had an eventful spell at Leverkusen, scoring a staggering 33 goals in all competitions in his debut season for the German club.
This season has been less successful, with only five goals scored by the Mexican so far, but Chicharito’s prowess in front of goal is proven at this point, and there is likely to be a real scrap for his services.
Summer signing Vincent Janssen is yet to come good at Spurs, and while the Dutchman could be a long term success at the club, the North London side can take the pressure off him and Harry Kane by bringing in Hernandez, who has shown already that he is capable of scoring in the Premier League.

Spurs got a close look at Hernandez earlier this season when they faced Leverkusen in the Champions League, with heroics from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris required to stop him finding the net.
Hernandez is 28 and could be a vital player for Spurs if they sign him. Certainly he is a player who would repay the fee required with his goals, and they should seize what could be their last opportunity to bring him on board.
