It was reported by FC Inter News in the summer that Spurs were interested in a potential move for Inter winger Ivan Perisic after a stunning season for club and country.

Perisic scored 11 goals for the second year in a row in Serie A and provided nine assists for the Nerazzurri and then helped Croatia reach the final of the World Cup, winning the man of the match award against England in the last four.

Unsurprisingly, Inter reportedly had no desire to sell the 29-year-old and made it clear that they would only be willing to let him leave San Siro if an eye-watering offer was made.

Now however, their stance appears to have changed.

Calciomercato is now reporting that Inter are ready to consider selling Perisic should they receive an offer worth around £31.1 million. And Spurs must therefore, consider a fresh move for the attacker.

Perisic’s versatility – both in terms of the positions he plays and the style he adopts – would make him a superb addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s attacking options.

And although he is at an age which hints that he may not have too many years left at his peak, paying a fraction over £31 million for the World Cup finalist could still prove to be a brilliant piece of business, especially when you consider that how well he has adapted and performed in a number of leagues throughout his career.
