The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has really struggled during his time in north London.
Spurs are open to selling Moussa Sissoko this month, for somewhere in the region of £30 million, according to the Mirror, but the north London outfit must be kidding themselves with their valuation of the Frenchman.
Tottenham signed the 28-year-old from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016 on transfer deadline day, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £30 million, but he has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Sissoko has endured heavy criticism from Spurs fans for his lacklustre displays, and they would surely be happy to see the back of the midfielder.
With the Mirror claiming that Tottenham will listen to offers of £30 million, however, it seems like they might just be stuck with the France international, with the likelihood of any clubs meeting Spurs’ valuation of him small to none.
The former Newcastle man has been utterly ineffective almost every time he has taken to the field of play for the Lilywhites.
His poor use of the ball, lack of understanding from a positional sense, and his lackadaisical approach to the game continues to infuriate the Spurs faithful, and he surely would not have impressed any potential suitors with his performances over the past 18 months.
If Tottenham do want to sell him, they will surely have to lower their demands for a player who continues to flatter to deceive.
