Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Fiorentina hitman.
According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Ligue 1 side Marseille have submitted a €40 million (£35 million) offer to Fiorentina for Giovanni Simeone, and Tottenham will have to act fast if they still want to bring the Argentine to north London this summer.
According to AS, Spurs are interested in signing the son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego, with Mauricio Pochettino being a huge fan of the striker.
The 22-year-old joined Fiorentina from Genoa in the summer of 2017, and he has gone on to really impress for La Viola, chalking up 15 goals and five assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.

He undoubtedly has a bright future in the game, and possesses all of the attributes required to be a success in the Premier League.
Tottenham will have to act fast, though, if they want to bring Simeone to the club thus summer.
Italian publication Calcio Mercato claims that Marseille have made the first move in the race for the Argentine’s signature by submitting a £35 million offer for his services.
The bid was subsequently rejected by the Serie A side, however, leaving the door open for Spurs to make their move, if they so wish.
Whether Daniel Levy will be prepared to stretch to an offer in excess of £35 million is extremely doubtful, however, especially for someone who has no pedigree in the English game.
