Tottenham move for Carlos Soler would be a major statement.

According to ESPN, Tottenham are planning a move for Valencia star Carlos Soler.
Spurs have their eye on a £30 million summer bid for the Spanish ace.
It is likely to cost Spurs more than that to convince Valencia to part ways. Yet even at double the price, £60 million, would still prove great value for the midfielder.
Soler has been linked to Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City already this month (via AS).
Manchester United are also keen admirers and have been tracking Soler since 2017, The Mirror report.
The Sun report how Soler has been compared to former Valencia ace David Silva.
So if Tottenham could see off all the competition and land Soler, it would be a major coup for the North London side.

It would be the type of signing which would re-announce Spurs as major players, finally willing to embrace their lofty status as a Champions League side and splash the cash.
Tottenham have been restricted on their spending by their stadium. It is soon set to open, and in the summer, the shackles in the transfer market will begin to free.
There will be no better way to signal this than a statement making move for one of Europe’s most promising players, and prove Mauricio Pochettino right in choosing to stay put.
