Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to spend big on keeping the Dane.

Tottenham Hotspur seem determined to keep Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international prompted speculation about his future earlier in the summer when he revealed that he wanted a change of scenery after six years in North London.
But there appears to be no concrete interest in the 28-year-old and now Tottenham are reportedly pulling out the stops to keep him.
According to The Sun, Eriksen, out of contract next summer, has been offered a new deal worth £200,000 per week – and it’s such a clever decision by Spurs if the Ajax product signs on.
Yes it’s one hell of an increase, given that he’s only earning £80,000 at the moment [The Sun] but this is a move which could see Eriksen reach a new level.
In this climate, £80,000-a-week is peanuts for somebody of Eriksen’s ability and it’s no wonder he’s unhappy. Think about it: Mesut Ozil is earning over four times that amount at Arsenal and yet he’s half the player.
But by giving him this bumper pay rise, Tottenham would be showing Eriksen just how much he means to them and that, in theory, could bring him back to life.
Let’s face it, he hasn’t been playing like a happy man for about six months, but fans of the North London should expect Eriksen – the real Christian Eriksen – to stand up if this new contract goes through.
