Tottenham want Max Aarons and a move would finally see him arrive in North London some years after Jose Mourinho dodged a deal.
Spurs tied themselves to Antonio Conte and that meant investing in wing backs.
Ivan Perisic arrived on the left and Died Spence join on the right, but the latter has yet to even start a game for Spurs.
Tottenham may need to invest more on the right side, especially with question marks over the long-term future of Emerson Royal.

Tottenham want Max Aarons
There are now more links emerging about a potential right wing back signing in 2023.
One of the names mentioned by 90Min is Norwich City star Max Aarons.
It feels like Aarons has been linked with a Premier League move for years now but is still with Norwich.
The Canaries are pushing for another return to the Premier League and Aarons is a key player with 18 starts so far this season.
The 22-year-old is quick and attack-minded even though his record of 11 assists in five-and-a-half seasons doesn’t smack of a dangerous wing back.
Some may have concerns about Aarons coming in to that role with that kind of record, especially with Spence ready and waiting.
There have been other concerns about Aarons over the years and Jose Mourinho actually had one when Tottenham were looking at him in 2020.
The Athletic reported that Mourinho had reservations about Aarons because of his size, so Tottenham didn’t sign him.
Tottenham ended up signing Matt Doherty in that transfer window instead, and he continues to be an option for Antonio Conte.
Mourinho seemingly felt that Aarons was too slight at around 5ft 7in and preferred to go with the more robust Doherty.
Fabio Paratici and Conte must now weigh up whether they think Aarons’ heigh is an issue or not – or whether he’s even a better option than Spence moving forward.
