Mauricio Pochettino wants to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager but there could be a tactical disagreement with Fabio Paratici.
That’s according to The Times, who claim that Pochettino would love to return to Spurs more than three years since his departure.
Antonio Conte is expected to leave this summer and a return to Italy is thought to be on the cards.
Pochettino is eyeing up the job but this isn’t the first time concerns over the working relationship with Paratici have been raised.
It’s stated that appointing Pochettino would ‘provoke an internal power struggle’ with Tottenham’s director of football.
Paratici seems to like playing a back three with both Nuno Espirito Santo and Conte familiar with that setup.
Pochettino prefers to play with a back four so there may need to be some compromises from somebody if this emotional return is to pay off.

Mauricio Pochettino has shown his tactical flexibility
Nuno was committed to playing wing backs at Wolves, but that wasn’t really what happened at Tottenham.
Nuno mostly played with a back four as he attempted to prove himself away from the three-at-the-back Wolves setup.
That didn’t really work and Paratici immediately moved for another manager who plays three at the back in Conte.
Pochettino isn’t completely averse to this setup though.
We regularly saw Pochettino move to a back three at Tottenham with Harry Kane up top supported by two of Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen.
Pochettino only played a back three on a handful of occasions at Paris Saint-Germain but he has a least shown a willingness to play that way.
Paratici shouldn’t be concerned and shouldn’t stand in the way of an emotional return to North London for Pochettino, whose appointment would invigorate the Tottenham fanbase.
