Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing Manuel Lazzarri have increased after it emerged that Lazio need to sell him in order to sign Emerson Palmieri.
Tottenham chase Lazzari
Emerson Royal signed for Tottenham over the summer, but his mixed displays mean Antonio Conte wants another right wing back.
Sport Mediaset reported in November that Lazio ace Lazzari was one of Conte’s first targets for Tottenham.
Lazzari, 28, is something of a late bloomer.
He spent many yers in Italy’s lower leagues with Montecchio Maggiore, Delta Rovigo and Giocomense; we will forgive you if you haven’t heard of any of them.
Lazzari’s career took off with SPAL, eventually joining Lazio in 2019. Lazzari now has two Italy caps and has impressed as a right wing back in Serie A.
Conte will be very familiar with Lazzari’s quality, and the rumours of a move to Tottenham are continuing.

Lazio need to sell Lazzari
Italian newspaper Il Messaggero report that Lazio want to sign Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri, who is currently on loan at Lyon.
Yet in order to do so, Lazio need to sell Lazzari, with Tottenham again talked up as a potential destination.
Maurizio Sarri doesn’t have a huge budget to work with, so it could be a one in and one out policy at the Stadio Olimpico.
That’s great news for Conte if he really does want Lazzari, with Tottenham surely in the box seat for a deal.
