Tottenham Hotspur reportedly think that they may not be able to bring Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur stance on Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi

The Independent have reported that Tottenham are considering appointing De Zerbi as their new manager in the summer of 2023.

De Zerbi is among a number of managerial candidates that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is looking at.

The 43-year-old Italian manager was appointed the Brighton boss earlier in the season when Graham Potter left for Chelsea.

Potter has since been sacked by the Blues.

According to The Independent, “Roberto De Zerbi has equally been considered but that is seen as a difficult deal to strike, and he has a huge support staff.”

HITC Verdict: Summer move could happen

In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur are really determined to hire Roberto De Zerbi, then they could be able to get a deal done with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Now, of course, Brighton will demand a compensation fee, and Spurs will also have to convince the Italian why Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would be a better destination for them.

But, Tottenham are a bigger club than Brighton, and we believe that managing the North London outfit would be very appealing to the 43-year-old Italian manager.
