Sam Allardyce has been left blown away by Thomas Frank, who has been speculated with becoming the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

The Dane has done an astoundingly impressive job at Brentford since his time in charge but especially this season, with them being in 9th place so far.

As Thomas Frank was reported to have been a part of Daniel Levy’s four-man Tottenham Hotspur manager shortlist, Sam Allardyce has sung his praises.

Sam Allardyce raves about Tottenham manager target Thomas Frank

In fact, just last Thursday, a claim emerged as journalist Alasdair Gold has said that the club had ‘definitely’ taken a look at the 49-year-old.

With Breaking the Lines founder Zach Lowy posing the question about Frank being the Premier League’s most ‘underrated’ coach, how he has adapted to the English top-flight has been simply remarkable.

As it seems Tottenham Hotspur are most certainly considering bringing in Thomas Frank as their manager ahead of next season, Sam Allardyce has said that he has been impressed by him.

“The Brentford manager now, he worked under Dean [Smith] and he’s doing a fantastic job”, he said on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast.

“I wonder if someone will come in for him Thomas Frank. Or does he have the reputation for playing the wrong way?”

Sure, Frank is a brilliant tactician and his direct, transition-based approach fits like a glove for the Bees.

However, Spurs, like most top sides face low-blocks on a weekly basis, which could mean they may struggle to break opposition teams down under his presence.

While Thomas Frank is deserving of all the praise from Sam Allardyce, this does loom as a doubt about whether he would succeed if Tottenham appointed him as their manager.

A question that is certainly worth exploring before making the big call.
