Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has explained how he reacted to Liverpool dropping points at the weekend.
Liverpool drew away to Manchester United, playing out a disappointing 0-0 draw.
This came 24 hours after Tottenham had lost 2-1 away to Burnley.
Pochettino did not take Liverpool’s point as a positive, instead he said it made his own team’s slip up more painful.
He told Football London: “Yes, but that didn’t make me more happy. It was still just as painful for me.”
Pochettino’s Tottenham face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this evening, looking to get back on track.
Tottenham do not have a good record at the stadium, losing there just a few weeks ago in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Chelsea are fresh off defeat in the final and it’s unclear how they will respond.
Liverpool take on Watford at home, while Manchester City host West Ham.
