Tottenham Hotspur seem to have returned to form over this past week.
Speaking to reporters in the wake of his side’s 3-1 Champions League victory over CSKA Moscow last night, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino shared how he believes his side are slowly getting back to their best, after a difficult couple of months, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Lilywhites had to cope for a prolonged period without key men Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld through injury, but with both players now back amongst the fold, Tottenham fans will be hoping that the team can get their season back on track.

And Pochettino highlighted how the absence of key men through an incredibly busy period proved to be costly for his side, when speaking to the media in the aftermath of Tottenham’s win last night, and quoted by tottenhamhotspur.com:
“We are starting to show our real quality. We struggled in the last month and a half because we have some problems. You can feel the team is recovering that feeling that we can win every game. We have recovered that feeling maybe that we lost. We need all the players fit to be strong and to compete in tough competitions like the Premier League and Champions League and it was unlucky that our struggle arrived in a busy period with important games.”

Tottenham’s win last night secured their participation in the Europa League, but it is debatable as to whether that will be a good or bad thing, in relation to their hopes of achieving success domestically.
With everyone back fit and firing, Spurs are a match for any side in England, but the worry for Pochettino is that if he loses any of his key players over the Christmas period, will they be well equipped enough to make a sustained challenge for the top four, let alone the Premier League title?
