Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has told Friday’s press conference that Frank Lampard is beginning to show that he is a “really good manager”, praising Everton’s improvement defensively – showing “great stability”.
Spurs will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce when they play host to the Toffees. Everton are also in good form, after a tricky start. Prior to their loss to Manchester United, they were unbeaten for seven games.
Even in their defeat to Manchester United, Everton were good. They took the lead against Erik ten Hag’s side, before United came roaring back won the game 2-1. Spurs will have to be at their attacking best to secure a win.
Asked about Lampard and Everton ahead of Saturday evening’s fixture, Tottenham boss Conte was complimentary. Perhaps as a warning to his own Tottenham players, he praised Everton’s defensive stability and Lampard.
“Everton are a really good team with a really good manager. Lampard is proving to be a really good manager. He had a good experience at Chelsea. He’s working well at Everton. They’re showing great stability, especially defensively.”

Lampard is beginning to stamp his mark on this Everton side. Last season, replacing Rafa Benitez, it was all about keeping the Toffees in the Premier League. Having made some signings, he is making Everton play his way.
They are solid at the back, and they are becoming more potent in attack. Dom Calvert-Lewin is coming back from injury, Anthony Gordon has remained and the likes of Alex Iwobi and Dwight McNeil are chipping in with goals.
If Tottenham are going to beat Everton on Saturday, they will need their attacking players on song. Luckily for Spurs, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min were in the goals on Wednesday night and will come into the game with confidence.
