Sissoko remains a source of criticism from Tottenham fans.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has refused to rule out a return to France as he continues to remain on the fringes of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
Sissoko, 29, started Spurs’ first game of the season in central midfield against former side Newcastle United, as the north Londoners earned a narrow 2-1 win over Rafa Benitez’s men.
However, the France international remains a constant source of frustration since Spurs bought him for £30million from Newcastle in the summer of 2016. He simply has failed to live up to his price tag – scoring just two goals in 82 games.
Linked with a move away in the summer, Sissoko was asked if he would consider a return to Ligue 1 after 192 times in France’s top tier for Toulouse. He responded by failing to rule out a move back to France.
The question is translated as: “A return to Ligue 1?”, before Sissoko replies with: “The future will tell.”

Sissoko was linked with a move to Serie A side Inter Milan, who have a knack of targeting Tottenham players including Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela in the past.
Even The Mirror claimed Spurs were willing to include Sissoko in a deal to land top target Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, who signed a five-year deal at Selhurst Park on Wednesday.
Sissoko, a runner-up with France at Euro 2016, has three years remaining on a contract worth £95,000 a week (Mirror).
