Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has struggled to establish himself during his time at the club.

Spurs star Son Heung-min spoke to reporters after his side’s impressive 6-0 win over Millwall in the quarter final of the FA Cup on Sunday, and shared his delight that teammate Vincent Janssen finally got off the mark from open play, highlighting how it was especially pleasing for him because he assisted the Dutchman’s strike, as quoted by the club’s official website.
A semi final against Premier League leaders Chelsea now awaits Tottenham, but their focus will be back on the league for the next month or so, as they try to close the gap on Antonio Conte’s men at the top of the table.
They will have their work cut-out to do just that, however, after Harry Kane suffered what looked to be a serious ankle injury on Sunday, although Spurs are still awaiting results of a scan to decipher how long he will actually be out for.
And if he does go on to miss a prolonged period of time, the likes of Son and Janssen will really need to step up.
The South Korean spoke to the media about the Holland international’s goal, and how important it was for his confidence, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“Of course, it’s very important for him. He’s scored some penalties before and the fans were really happy. I’m really happy as well because I passed to Vincent and he scored. We won 6-0 and it was important to get into the semi-finals.”
And if Son can reproduce the kind of form he showed on Sunday, Tottenham have every chance of coping without Kane, for the short-term at least.
