Lucas Moura is back for Tottenham Hotspur and will be on the bench against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Tottenham are preparing for action once again as they will face off against Bundesliga side Frankfurt once again.
The two sides met in the Champions League last week, playing out a 0-0 draw over in Germany.
Tottenham then went and beat Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 on Saturday, with Antonio Conte surely hoping for a third straight clean sheet.
Lucas Moura is back for Tottenham
Conte will have some selection dilemmas ahead of the game, mostly whether to go with a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 system.
The Italian has though admitted that Lucas Moura is back and available for tomorrow’s game in North London.
Moura hasn’t played for Tottenham since the 2-2 draw with Chelsea way back on the 14th of August.
Moura has only managed 12 minutes of action this season and he was in danger of becoming something of a forgotten man.
What’s interesting is that Moura could have left Tottenham on deadline day.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Newcastle United and Aston Villa both made moves to sign Moura but Tottenham chose to keep him.
The Brazilian has been injured ever since and there have been a couple of setbacks for the versatile forward.
Moura can play all across the front line and Conte will be pleased to see more attacking depth ahead of this Champions League clash.
Conte has now told Football London that despite Moura only having a couple of training sessions under his belt, he will be on the bench against Frankfurt.
“Lucas Moura is available despite having only two or three training sessions, but tomorrow he is with us on the bench,” said Conte.
Conte will be hoping that Tottenham are coasting to victory and Moura can come on for some valuable minutes late in the game.
Spurs won’t really want to turn to Moura as a game-changing substitute given his lack of match action, but it’s a possibility all the same.
