Donny van de Beek has starred for Ajax and reportedly caught the attention of Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for impressive AFC Ajax playmaker Donny van de Beek – but Spurs have to consider Everton’s £23.6million flop Davy Klaassen.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed Spurs have added the 21-year-old Netherlands international to a glittering summer shortlist that includes talent from France, Spain and the Premier League.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, AFC Bournemouth’s David Brooks, Valencia’s Carlos Soler and Leicester City’s James Maddison are also on the shortlist, as Spurs finally look to become active again in the summer.
Van de Beek has scored 10 goals and created seven more in 36 league and cup appearances this season. Indeed, the midfielder is showing similar stats to that of Klaassen before the latter moved to Goodison Park.
Everton spent £23.6million (BBC Sport) to lure Klaassen to Everton in the summer of 2017, but he simply could not adapt to the rigours of English football under both Ronald Koeman and then Sam Allardyce.

He left to join Werder Bremen last summer, with the 25-year-old managing just 16 appearances in all competitions. He failed to score a single goal, and managed just one assist.
Klaassen is very similar to van de Beek and although the latter is showing a similar level of quality at a younger age, Spurs have to be wary over a move to sign the goalscoring midfielder.
