Everton’s Ross Barkley scores their second goal
Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has told his Twitter followers that Ross Barkley is the player he wants to see the club sign this summer.
Spurs have been strongly linked to the Everton attacker this summer, by the Evening Standard, but no move has been made so far.
Barkley has got only one year remaining on his Everton contract and is yet to commit to a new one, turning down a £100,000 per week contract offer according to The Mirror.
Roberts believes Barkley can become a ‘world class’ player under the guidance of head coach Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
Last season Barkley scored five Premier League goals and provided eight assists.

Barkley’s international career has stalled over the past few months and he missed out on a call for the most recent England squad.
A move to Spurs could give him the chance to shine further, and forge a link up with star striker Harry Kane which could impress England boss Gareth Southgate ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
