Graham Roberts has claimed on Twitter that Nuno Espirito Santo has a ‘little superstar’ on his hands at Tottenham in Bryan Gil.

Gil started for Tottenham on Wednesday night as they knocked Wolves out of the EFL Cup.

Wolves came from 2-0 down to record 2-2 after 90 minutes, but it was still the away side who won on penalties, as Spurs legend, Roberts, sent this message about Gil.

Tottenham need that creative talent in their team and it seems as though Gil will be able to provide that from out wide.

A deceptively quick player, Gil likes to attack spaces and has the forward-thinking ability that will get the best out of Harry Kane.

Heung-Min Son has proven what he can do in Tottenham colours over the years, especially from those wide areas.

And if Gil can settle down and earn a regular place in this Tottenham team then there’s no reason why he can’t become a bit of a fan favourite.

One way of making a name for yourself is by producing the goods in the big games.

And with Spurs making the short trip across London to take on Arsenal on Sunday then this is Gil’s chance to impress.

The Spanish whizkid is yet to start a Premier League game, so there’s no reason, after his positive display last night, why he shouldn’t be handed a starting birth at the weekend.
