Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has reacted with joy, after Arsenal were beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa yesterday.
Tottenham moved up to second in the Premier League table after beating West Bromwich Albion early on Sunday, which Roberts was clearly pleased with.
Spurs fans were then free to watch on, as Arsenal were taken apart by Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side could not get close to their opponents, with the defeat leaving them in 11th place in the Premier League table.
And, almost immediately after the final whistle, Spurs great Roberts could not resist taking a dig at the Gunners, suggesting his day had got even better.
Arsenal’s defeat has certainly ramped up the pressure on Arteta, as Tottenham are now six points clear of them, even at this early stage of the season.
Arsenal went into the campaign with great optimism that they would close the gap on Spurs, but Jose Mourinho’s side have started very strongly.
Arsenal and Tottenham are now due to meet soon, with the pair set to clash in the North London derby on 5th December.
