Tottenham Hotspur are still looking for success on three fronts this season.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Spurs legend Cliff Jones spoke exclusively to popular sports news website Football London, and offered his opinion on his former club’s season so far, naming the two players who he believes are Tottenham’s most dangerous playmakers, and his choice of names was surprising to say the least.
The Lilywhites have performed superbly on the whole this season, despite a couple of minor blips, and currently sit in second position in the Premier League table, 10 points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli have received most of the plaudits for helping their side reach the heights they have done so far this term, but Jones, who was part of the famous double winning Spurs team of 1961, highlighted the importance of two other stars currently plying their trade at White Hart Lane, when speaking to Football London:
“They have Danny Rose and Kyle Walker now and they are fantastic players. Certainly they have taken over the role of a wing man now. They are attacking full-backs. Defensively they don’t need to worry about it so much, it’s all about attacking and they are sort of like our most dangerous playmakers.”

Danny Rose has been out injured for the past month, but he has undoubtedly been a key member of the Tottenham side all season, and the same has to be said for right-back Kyle Walker.
The duo are arguably the best in their respective positions in the Premier League, and the north Londoners will surely face a battle to keep hold of them over the coming seasons.
