Tottenham Hotspur lost at the weekend and somehow stayed in position in third.

Spurs’ 1-0 loss to Manchester City was offset by rivals Arsenal slipping to a 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

It was the second time in a week that Arsenal have blown the opportunity to go above Tottenham.

Most surprising was that they dropped points at home, having previously won 10 matches at The Emirates in a row.

Former Tottenham midfielder Micky Hazard was pleased, taking to Twitter to express his happiness.

He also mocked the lack of atmosphere at Arsenal’s stadium.

It was almost as if Arsenal expected to win easily against Palace.

Their defending was too casual, and it was costly. The only positive both Arsenal and Tottenham can share is that Manchester United slipped up too, losing 4-0 at Everton.
