Tottenham Hotspur’s Belgian midfielder has been in superb form once again this season.

Speaking to Tottenham Hotspur’s official website, club legend Ledley King has been pouring praise over midfielder Moussa Dembele, now one of the club’s senior statesmen.

The outrageously powerful Belgian is a firm favourite for most Tottenham fans with his mixture of strength and technique, and his name on the team sheet is always a positive ahead of a game.

And it’s no surprise to see King, who himself played central midfield at times for both Spurs and England, wax lyrical about the 29-year-old.

“I’ve always been a big fan,” King said of Dembele to the Spurs website. “I played against him when he was at Fulham and could see his talent straight away. He was playing a little more advanced then, more in the number 10 type of role and you see how strong he was, that dribbling ability. He’s deeper now and that suits him, he’s been fantastic.

“I don’t see anyone go past him or tackle him! He’s unbelievable in those areas, a big force in the middle of pitch.”

Evaluating Pochettino’s three Tottenham seasons: Statistical evidence of drastic improvement?

Dembele is in his fifth season at White Hart Lane, having joined as a replacement for Luka Modric. The former Fulham man is a much different player to the Croatian star, but has proved himself just as important a part of the the first team squad, especially since Mauricio Pochettino joined the club.

Moving towards 200 appearances now for the North Londoners, Dembele put in another superb performance in the weekend win over Middlesbrough, and he will be integral to the club’s hopes of securing a positive result on their trip to Anfield this weekend.
