Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of the talented Brazilian yesterday.

Spurs legend Chris Waddle sat down for an exclusive interview with OffTheBall.com, and lavished praise upon Lucas Moura, highlighting how he will make a huge difference to Tottenham and the way that they play.
The Brazilian completed his £25 million switch from Paris Saint-Germain yesterday, and in today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market, that constitutes exceptional business for the Lilywhites.

The 25-year-old winger is a class act, but barely featured for the Paris giants this season, making just six appearances all season long, with all of those coming from the substitutes bench.
Waddle, though, explained why Lucas will bring something extra to the Spurs side, when speaking exclusively to OffTheBall.com, predicting that he will prove to be a great asset to Mauricio Pochettino’s side:

“You know Riyad Mahrez is going to be a minimum £50-60 million. I don’t think Tottenham’s in that league yet and I think they will be when they get running in their stadium and start generating a lot more money. Lucas Moura could be a massive success. You can play him tucked in slightly but when I’ve seen him play, his best sort of form with Paris and when he’s played for Brazil, he’s a winger type player. He likes to get out on the flanks, he likes to get at the full back and he can get round the back of players and teams. This guy (Moura) can actually pick the ball up and actually go past players.”
The Lilywhites currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League table, two points adrift of the Champions League spots, and they will certainly need to improve upon the consistency of their play, if they are to finish inside the top four.
And Pochettino will be hoping that the Brazil international can make the difference for them during the remainder of the campaign.
