Tottenham Hotspur legend hits back, a year on.

It is almost a year ago since Tottenham Hotspur’s 2016/17 title challenge ended with defeat against West Ham.

Spurs supporters were infuriated after that game by SkySports host Rachel Riley, who accused them of a ‘proper bottle job’.

Riley was criticised strongly by Spurs fans in response and The Times reported how she later stood down from her role in wake of the row.

Tottenham fans have not forgotten, and club legend Graham Roberts sent a message to her this weekend after the club’s win over Chelsea.

Roberts asked her if she thought Chelsea ‘bottled it’, after succumbing to a 3-1 defeat.

Riley could yet have the last laugh.

She is a Manchester United supporter, and as well as sitting above Spurs currently in the table, they face Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final later this month.

The countdown to the Wembley clash is on.
