Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Eintracht Frankfurt central defender Evan Ndicka, according to FootMercato.
FootMercato are reporting today that Tottenham are currently in pole position to secure the services of the 22-year-old French defender in the summer transfer window.
Marseille are keen on Ndicka as well, but the French club have yet to make a move for him, according to the report.
Evan Ndicka would make Tottenham Hotspur better
In our view, Eintracht Frankfurt central defender Evan Ndicka would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
At the right price, of course.
Tottenham are looking for a left-footed centre-back, and Ndicka does fit the bill.
The 22-year-old is a regular for Frankfurt and has been successful in the Bundesliga.
Ndicka also did well for Auxerre in France.
According to former Frankfurt head coach Adi Hütter in Bundesliga.com, the youngster has “developed phenomenally” and is “very attentive in the analysis of his own game”.
Ndicka made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga last season.
The youngster scored four goals and gave four assists in those matches.
The centre-back also made 10 starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League last season.
