Tottenham Hotspur have been kept informed about the future of Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix this summer.

Joao Felix is expected to leave Atletico Madrid this summer with Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs to have registered an interest.

That is according to 90Min, who claim that Felix is interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Felix fancies working with new PSG boss Luis Enrique and Atletico would sell for around €90million (£77million).

Premier League clubs are looking though as it’s stated that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have been kept informed about Felix.

The Portuguese forward’s representatives have been keeping in contact with those clubs but a move to the Premier League is allegedly unlikely.

Joao Felix to Chelsea didn’t work out

We can hardly blame Felix for not feeling all that excited about the prospect of another Premier League move.

Felix joined Chelsea on loan in January as he attempted to get his career back on track.

Atletico struck a staggering £113million deal for Felix in 2019 having burst onto the scene with Benfica.

Diego Simeone never quite seemed to fully buy into Felix though and he simply had to get out in January.

Chelsea struck a loan deal until the end of the season and Felix scored four times in 15 Premier League games.

There were flashes of top quality from Felix but nowhere near enough to convince Chelsea to re-sign him.

Atletico have confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino simply doesn’t want Felix at Chelsea moving forward, leaving him on the market again.

Felix didn’t really find his best form in England and we can’t imagine that he is desperate to give the Premier League another go right now.

It’s hard to imagine where Felix would fit for Tottenham

Tottenham may well be able to pounce with a loan deal but where would Felix even fit in?

Ange Postecgolou usually plays with a 4-3-3 and Tottenham have just added a playmaking midfielder in James Maddison.

Felix wouldn’t really fit as a midfielder and Tottenham’s front three should be Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski.

Even if Kane leaves, Felix as Tottenham’s central striker just doesn’t seem likely having only hit double figures in goals in one season so far.

Tottenham may well just want to know what is going on in case of a bargain, but we can’t see Felix arriving at Spurs.
