The Spurs and Denmark ace admits he is open to a new challenge away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur ex-player Stephen Kelly has bemoaned the prospect of Spurs losing Christian Eriksen, describing the midfielder as “almost irreplaceable” and admitting he would be a “huge loss” for the Premier League club, in conversation with talkSPORT.
The Spurs star told Danish magazine Ekstra Bladet earlier this month that he is open to leaving North London, saying he “might want to try something new” following speculation about his future at the club, although he did not rule out a contract extension, saying it “depends on the conditions”.
However, Eriksen is contracted to Tottenham only until next summer, with no progress having been made on an extension, and has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan (Gazzetta dello Sport), leaving Spurs with a dilemma if he does not pen a new deal – sell him and receive a fee, or retain his services until next summer and lose him for nothing?
“Eriksen, he’s one of those, he’s almost irreplaceable,” Kelly told talkSPORT. “He could play in almost any team in the Premier League. He’s such a good talent, his vision, his delivery, his execution of the pass.

“He’s going to be a huge loss to them. Obviously they’re going to have to get a huge amount of money and we all know Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator. So he’s going to try and get the most for him if he is to go. But how do you replace him?”
Since joining Spurs from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2013, the Denmark international has made 277 club appearances, scoring 66 goals and registering 86 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
