Tottenham Hotspur’s search for young talent now means they’re looking into non-league signings with Ramsgate’s Joshua Ajayi now wanted.

The Express report that Tottenham are taking Ajayi on trial as they take a close look at the striker.

Ajayi now has a golden chance to impress Tottenham and land a shock Premier League move.

Ajayi, 19, was in the Crystal Palace ranks but has smashed 19 goals in all competitions for Ramsgate this season.

Kent Online report that Stevenage are set to bid for Ajayi this week, but the striker headed for training at Tottenham today.

Rather than head into Antonio Conte’s first-team setup, Ajayi is training with Tottenham’s Under-23’s this season.

A League One club are also keen on Ajayi, meaning there is a real fight for the teenager’s signature.

Ramsgate boss Matt Longhurst has now admitted that he thinks Ajayi will be leaving the club permanently this season.

“He won’t be with us by the end of January – I’d be very surprised if he is,” said Longhurst. “He met with Stevenage last week, and we’re waiting for the offer to come in any day, he’s in with Spurs this week, and there’s this League 1 club who I can’t name,” he added.

Longhurst added that Ajayi is ‘powerful’ at 6ft 2in tall, and could now give Tottenham another exciting young striker.

Troy Parrott, Kion Etete, Dane Scarlett and Jamie Donley all have high hopes for the future at Tottenham.

Ajayi will now be looking to impress Wayne Burnett and show that he belongs alongside those other strikers at Tottenham.
