Tottenham are set to sign Ivan Perisic as Antonio Conte’s influence convinced him to pick Spurs of a move to London rivals Chelsea.
Tottenham secured Champions League football last Sunday by beating Norwich City 5-0 at Carrow Road.
Conte can now look forward to challenging Europe’s elite next season and all that comes with it.
Tottenham not only receive a financial boost from qualification but also a prestige boost; top players want to play in the Champions League and Tottenham can offer that.
Add in a £150million cash injection from ENIC and this looks like a massively exciting time for Tottenham.
Tottenham are set to sign Ivan Perisic
Tottenham are already closing in on their first summer signing with Inter Milan ace Perisic set to arrive.
The Daily Mail report that Perisic has decided to join Tottenham on a free transfer.
Perisic is out of contract this summer and will now be leaving Inter for nothing.
Chelsea were also keen on signing Perisic but it’s claimed that Conte’s influence has swayed him towards Tottenham instead.
Perisic worked under Conte at Inter Milan, winning the league title together in 2021.
The pair are now set to reunite in a bargain deal that will give Tottenham some added flexibility.

Perisic, 33, mostly played as a left wing back this past season but can still play on either flank in the final third.
Perisic recorded eight goals and seven assists in 35 league outings for Inter last term but is now on the move.
Tuttomercatoweb add that Perisic has agreed a two-year deal worth £4million-a-year – around £77,000-a-week – with a potential bonus of £600,000.
If this terms are correct, it seems like Tottenham have landed a pretty good deal.
Perisic isn’t getting any younger but two years with decent wages seems like the kind of move most fans will get behind.
