Tottenham are signing Ivan Perisic – and Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has now offered his thoughts on the imminent deal.
Antonio Conte has guided Tottenham into the Champions League having clinched a top-four finish.
Conte will be delighted with that achievement but will now hope to have some quality signings arriving this summer.
Whilst there will of course be money spent this summer, Tottenham are closing in on two free transfers.
Goalkeeper Fraser Forster is one of them as he will be the new backup to Hugo Lloris, with Perisic the second.

Perisic is a more high-profile addition for Tottenham and one that will certainly please Conte.
Conte worked with Perisic at Inter Milan, deploying him as something of a wing back rather than the wide attacking role he had previously played.
The Croatian ace is out of contract this summer and Tottenham are on the verge of signing him for free.
The Daily Mail report that Perisic has snubbed Chelsea and staying at Inter in favour of joining Tottenham.
Perisic looks set to be confirmed as a Tottenham player every soon and will be signing a two-year contract in North London.
Inter boss Simone Inzaghi was desperate to keep Perisic, branding him a ‘top player’ – but the charm offensive hasn’t worked.
Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has now commented on Perisic’s move to Tottenham.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Marotta has admitted that he respects Perisic’s decision to try Premier League football.
At 33, who knows when that chance would have come up again or if it would have at all.
Marotta added that Inter tried their best to keep Perisic but it just wasn’t to be, with Inter accepting that he is off to Tottenham.
“We respect his decision. He wanted to try Premier League challenge and we did our best, we wish him all the best,” said Marotta.
Perisic will likely play as a wing back at Tottenham, but his versatility means we could see him in the front three too.
