Tottenham could reportedly have Richarlison back from injury sooner than expected, with Cristian Stellini potentially having the option to include the Brazilian for this weekend’s clash against Everton.

According to the Evening Standard, the Spurs striker is making great progress in his road to recovery after Richarlison came off in tears in Tottenham’s last Premier League match against Southampton having picked up an injury early on at St. Mary’s.

However, Richarlison’s injury has been diagnosed as nothing serious, and the attacker could now be in contention to feature against his former side, Everton, that weekend. Though the clash could come too soon for the 25-year-old striker.

Richarlison has endured a difficult first year in the English capital, with the attacker yet to score in the Premier League having left Everton for Tottenham in a deal worth £60m, though the forward has had some bright moments since being signed by Antonio Conte.

Martin Keown lauded the Brazilian as ‘exceptional’ in Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Chelsea earlier in the season, and Richarlison played a key role in getting Spurs out of their UEFA Champions League group stage with some big performances against the likes of Olympique Marseille.

Indeed, whilst the chances remain low that Richarlison will feature against Everton on Monday, the attacker’s quick return to the first-team picture is an encouraging sign for Stellini, who could be the man to get the best out of the Brazilian until the end of the season.

Richarlison’s debut year with Tottenham could not have gone worse had he tried, with the attacker’s abysmal goal record in the Premier League a massive sticking point for the Brazilian. However, the forward has the potential to show everyone what he’s made of with his latest return from injury.

With a top-four spot up for grabs, Richarlison can prove many doubters wrong by turning up in the final fixtures of the season, with the attacker still having the quality to win Tottenham some crucial points in the remaining matches.
