HITC Sport understands that Spurs’ £18million offer is still not enough.

Tottenham Hotspur have increased their offer for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha to £18 million, HITC Sport understands.

However, Palace are not even considering the latest move from Spurs having already shunned a £12 million bid from their London rivals.

Indeed, having sold Yannick Bolasie to Everton in a deal worth an initial £25 million – rising to in excess of £30 million – HITC Sport understands that Spurs are going to have to get nearer to that sort of offer for Palace to entertain letting the 23-year-old England international leave the club.

HITC Sport understands that former Manchester United man Zaha is not happy with his current terms at Palace and that talks over a new deal have not accelerated in recent times, which has seen Spurs make their move for him knowing they can offer him the sort of deal he wants.

However, with just 48 hours of the current window left, Spurs chief Daniel Levy is once again going to have to perform some deadline day magic if he wants to land Zaha for his boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Sources close to Palace have told HITC Sport that they are considering a few possible replacements for Zaha, but they are doubtful Spurs will match their valuation of the player.
